About the Creator
Вятский Правовой Портал was founded by Deborah McPeake, a legal advocate with over 15 years of experience working with Russian civil law systems. Though not a Russian citizen, Deborah has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between complex legal frameworks and the public they serve. Her work in the Kirov region began through volunteer legal aid, where she witnessed firsthand how difficult it was for ordinary people to find reliable, understandable legal information.
Why This Website Exists
This site was born from frustration — not with the law itself, but with how inaccessible it often feels. Too many people are left confused or intimidated when dealing with prosecutors, courts, or government agencies. We created this portal to change that.
